3. Sharing Information

3.1. Our Services

All data that you include in your profile or in the content you publish, as well as your actions on the news feed (such as Likes, comments, and shares) performed on our Services, are visible to members of your organization.

Profile

Your profile is fully visible to all Members of your organization.

Posts, Likes, Comments.

Our Services allow the display and sharing of information, including through posts, Likes, and comments.

When you share an article or post (such as news, an image, a video, or an article), it can be viewed by everyone but cannot be reshared on third-party sites. When you like, reshared, or comment on someone else’s content, other Members will see these “social actions” and associate this social action with you (for example, your name, profile, and photo if applicable).

Your employer may know how you use the Services they provide for professional purposes.

3.2. Archiving Communications

Members subject to compliance may be required to store communications outside of our Services.

For legal or professional compliance reasons, some Members (or their employers) must archive their communications and social media activity, and may engage a third-party provider to meet this need. We enable the archiving of messages from Members outside of our Services and those sent to these Members.

Depending on your preferences, excerpts from your profile will appear on third-party services (for example, in search engine results, in messaging or calendar applications displaying a mini-LinkedIn profile of the person the user is about to meet or contact, in social media aggregators, or in talent and prospect management programs). The “old” profile information is retained in these services until they update their data cache with the changes you have made to your profile.

3.4. Related Services

We share your data across our various Services and with LikePlus affiliates.

We will share your personal data with our affiliates as part of the provision and development of our Services. For example, we may refer your request to SNH in certain cases, for instance when a more recent response may be helpful to you. We may aggregate information internally across the various Services covered by this Privacy Policy to help our Services be more relevant and useful to you and others.

3.5. Service Providers

We may use outside help for our Services.

We engage third parties to assist in the provision of our Services (for example, for maintenance, statistics, audits, payments, fraud detection, customer support, marketing, and development). They have access to your information (such as the content of a customer support request) as necessary to perform these tasks on our behalf and are required not to disclose or use it for other purposes.

3.6. Legal Disclosures

We may need to share your data if we believe we are required to do so by law or to safeguard our rights and security, as well as yours and those of third parties.

We may need to disclose information about you when required by law, in response to a subpoena or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) investigate actual or suspected illegal activities, prevent such activities, or take action against them, or assist law enforcement agencies; (2) enforce our contracts with you; (3) investigate allegations and complaints from third parties, and defend ourselves against them; (4) ensure the security or integrity of our Services (for example, by sharing with companies facing the same threats); or (5) exercise or protect the rights and safety of LikePlus, our Members, our staff, or third parties. If we deem it appropriate, we strive to notify Members who are subject to a legal request for the disclosure of their personal data, unless in emergencies or where prohibited by law or a court order. We may challenge such requests when we believe, in our discretion, that they are excessive, vague, or not duly authorized, but we do not commit to contesting all of them. For more information, please refer to our Data Requests Guidelines and our Transparency Report.

3.7. Acquisition or Sale

We may share your data in the event of the sale of our business to third parties, but it must still be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may also share your personal data in the context of a sale, merger, or acquisition, or in preparation for such events. Any third party acquiring all or part of our business will be permitted to use your data, but only in accordance with this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise specified by you.

4. Your Choices and Obligations

4.1. Data Retention

We keep most of your personal data as long as your account is open.

We generally retain your personal data as long as your account remains open or as long as we need it to provide you with the Services. This includes data that you or third parties have provided us, as well as data generated or inferred based on your use of our Services. Even if you only use our Services sporadically, we keep your information and maintain your profile open unless you close your account. In some cases, we retain information (such as usage data) in a depersonalized or aggregated manner.

4.2. Rights to Access and Control Your Personal Data

You can access your personal data and delete it. There are many options available to you for the collection, use, and sharing of your data.

We offer many options for the collection, use, and sharing of your data. You can delete or correct the data included in your profile, manage the visibility of your posts, or control your communications. You have the ability to control and manage the personal data we hold.

Regarding the personal data we hold about you, you can:

Delete data: You can request that we delete or remove all or part of your personal data (for example, if it is no longer necessary for us to provide you with Services).
Modify or rectify data: You can modify some of your personal data through your account. You can also request that we modify, update, or correct your data in certain cases, particularly if it is inaccurate.
Object to, limit, or restrict the use of data: You can request that we stop using all or part of your personal data (for example, if we have no legal right to continue using it) or limit our use of it (for example, if your personal data is inaccurate or unlawfully held).
Access your data and/or retrieve it: You can request a copy of your personal data as well as a copy of the data you provided in a machine-readable format.
You can also contact us using the contact details available below, and we will handle your request in accordance with applicable laws.

Users may also have additional rights under their own legislation.

4.3. Account Closure
We retain some of your data even after your account is closed.

If you close your LikePlus account, your data is generally no longer visible on our Services within 24 hours. We typically delete information from closed accounts within 30 days, with the following exceptions.

We retain your personal data after your account is closed if reasonably necessary to fulfill our legal obligations (including requests from authorities), comply with regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse (notably, if we restricted your account due to a violation of our terms of service), or respond to your request to stop receiving messages from us (“unsubscribing”). We retain personalized information after your account is closed.

The information you have shared with third parties (such as endorsements, news, or posts) will still be visible after your account is closed or your profile data is deleted. We do not control the data that other Members have copied outside of our Services. Content and group ratings or comments associated with a closed account will show as “Unknown User.” Your profile may continue to appear on third-party services (such as search engine results) until they refresh their cache.

5. Other Important Information
5.1. Security
We monitor for security breaches and attempt to prevent them. Please use the security features available on our Services.

We implement security measures to protect your data, such as HTTPS protocol. We regularly monitor our systems for potential vulnerabilities and attacks. There is no guarantee that data will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed due to a breach of our management, technical, or physical protections.

5.2. Cross-Border Data Transfers
We store and use your data outside your country.

We process your information both within French territory and outside, relying on legal processes to transfer data across borders. The laws of the countries where we process data may differ from those in your own country, potentially offering less protection.

We will only collect and process personal data about you for which we have legal bases. The legal bases include your consent (when you have given your consent), the contract (when processing data is necessary for the execution of a contract with you, for example, to provide you with the LikePlus Services you requested), and “legitimate interests.”

When the processing of your personal data is subject to your consent, you have the right not to consent or to withdraw your consent at any time; when the processing of your personal data is based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object. If you have questions regarding the legal bases we rely on for collecting and using your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer by clicking here.

5.4. Direct Marketing and “Do Not Track” Signals
Statements regarding direct marketing and “Do Not Track” signals.

Currently, we do not share personal data with third parties for direct marketing purposes without your consent.
